I was visiting my grandparents out on Long Island this weekend so I missed the Pride Parade in New York, but I was still in spirit, rocking my new rainbow espadrilles from Saint James. I love how happy and bright they are!
I was home in New Jersey this weekend celebrating my sister’s high school graduation. It is hard to believe she is heading off to college in just a few short months!
I was in London over Valentine’s Day/Presidents Day weekend with Alec. We explored the city by bike on the first day there, trying different restaurants and visiting cute hole-in-the-wall shops.
This may come as no surprise, but I love any excuse to get dressed up. This weekend was the annual FIDF gala that I mentioned a few months back. The invitation called for black tie so I had a lot of fun trying on a few dresses before I finally settled on this sparkly number from Theia.
One of my best friends, Evin, came over early in the evening, and we both had our hair and makeup done at my apartment by Glamsquad, an on-demand, in-home beauty provider. Our stylists, Maggie, Mike, and Isabel, arrived just before 7 to beautify us for the event. Of course, when Mike asked me what kind of look I wanted for the night, I handed him a photo of my girl crush, Olivia Palermo, and simply told him, “This.” Any picture of Olivia always speaks a thousand words.
Has anyone else noticed it’s December, and it’s still 50° outside? It’s more than a little bizarre! Getting dressed the past few days has been a bit of a struggle. There’s nothing I hate more than being cold, so I tend to lean more towards bundling up whenever in doubt.
I got this deliciously soft winter white turtleneck on sale at Saks at the end of last winter and only got to wear it once before the weather warmed up this spring. I finally got the chance to break it out again this weekend for brunch with my family and Alec.
Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my crazy family. We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at my aunt’s house (be sure to check out her blog, It’s Droolworthy!) with my grandparents and all my cousins on my mom’s side of the family.
